The Suede Palace saw just about as much traffic as the other indoor buildings filled with the glossier cars. It was a great place to hang out Friday and Saturday night and listen to the Hot Rod Trio. Saturday during the day you could watch pinstripers apply their art to everything from flat panels to cell phones.
For the most part the hot rods and customs in attendance showcase some great mechanical engineering and exterior design (there were only maybe one or two that were downright scary.) With a little more publicity and word-of-mouth it should turn into one of the must-see gatherings in the years to come.
