It's been nearly 50 years since the L.A. Roadsters club formed in 1957. After a few years of running around in their flashy open-air hot rods taking advantage of the perfect Southern California weather, this group of young rodders decided to put on a show. Now in its 42nd year, the L.A. Roadsters' Show & Swap continues to be one of the West Coast's must-do weekends. One of the most anticipated events around the world-with spectators and show entrants not only from all corners of the United States, but from many other countries-this event does nothing but continue to grow as time marches on.
With something for everyone, from the finished open cars in the giant roadster display to the tons of new products in the manufactures area, and onto the indescribable treasures in the swap meet and tons of great rides in the preferred parking and cars-for-sale area, you probably won't be able to see it all in one weekend. The challenge is seeing as much of it as you can so you can wait another year until the next L.A. Roadsters gathering. See you all there in 2007 to celebrate 50 great years of the one and only L.A. Roadsters club.
Best in the WestThe swap meet at the L.A. Roadsters' Show is legendary, and the latest assemblage was no disappointment, with just about any rare goodie a hot rodder could dream up, and all you needed was a few sacks of cash to bring it home. This swap meet brings out the best stuff, but as always, the best does not come cheap.
