When we think of Kurtis we think of racecars, but Frank Kurtis built sportscars in the early '50s. This '54 Kurtis 500 is owned by Roger Morrison of Salina, Kansas.

This Deuce roadster, packed with a ZZ4 engine and TH350 transmission is a fairly new street rod for John, Michalle, and Coleton Guerin, who have been showing it all over. Cool surprises include the smoke graphics incorporated into the flames and the IPOD under the seat providing tunes.

The Hupmobiles were almost outnumbered by the Divcos. Our favorite was this '51 Model 11, owned by Kenny Campbell. It's been hot rodded with a '53 Ford truck flattie with a Rochester carburetor backed by a T-5. It boasts a 57-milk-case capacity.

Larry Christensen got some attention at the Grand National Roadster Show last winter with this inJected small-block '32 five-window and drew more attention in Loveland.

The low and long stance of John Suprenant's'28 A is exaggerated by the channel and the suicide perch. We found samples of the owner's graphic art on the visor and on a painted panel at the rear tire. The mill is a single-carbed 302.

The suede black paint on Matt and Tom Kaufman's '37 Chevy pickup is offset by a little bit of red on the steelies and on the small-block engine. Look close to see the spider web metalwork at the taillights.

Dick Rush is the third owner of this '39 coupe which he bought five years ago. The car was originally rodded in the early '60s. It features a 283 and retains the stock suspension. The 37-year-old paint is Ford Folkstone Grey. The upholstery is button pleated cloth, and those vents were a Ford accessory.

Jim Landsparger was back with his perfect original-steel '30 five-window, rolling on cheater slicks and front skinnies the flattie intake is an original Edmunds with dual 81 Strombergs. The rearend is a quickchange and the interior features white tuck 'n' roll with red piping.

We caught Connie Remke cruising around the grounds in his all-black '34 Chevy phaeton. The trailer it's hauling is a good sign that this car made the trip to Loveland under the power of its tuned-port 350 and TH700 trans.

It's too bad we never got the names of this couple having fun in their Model A highboy, but we loved this cool roadster from the triple pots on the flathead to the tomato red wire wheels, suspension, and tuck 'n' roll bench seat.
