Over 600 traditional hot rods and customs filled the lawn at Big Daddy Don Garlits' Museum of Drag Racing in Ocala, Florida, on March 21, 2009 for the 2nd annual Billetproof Florida. The crowd was delighted when Big Daddy fired up Swamp Rat V, the first top fuel dragster to run a wing, and a Hemi powered air raid siren. A record crowd of spectators enjoyed the bands, the vendors, a swap meet with some of Big Daddy's own parts for sale, the full size cars and the state's largest model car show.

Best of Show honors went to Paul Garrigan who embodied the spirit of Billetproof by driving his beautiful Flathead powered 1934 Ford roadster all the way from Denver, Colorado, to the show. Paul built the roadster from a wrecked sedan he bought for $75 some 40 years ago. When questioned about the long trip Paul remarked, "... well hell, it's got an engine and wheels don't it? That's what it was made for!" We couldn't agree more Paul.

Billetproof is a series of traditional hot rod and custom shows held around the US. For more information and schedule of shows go to www.billetproof.com.
