B&M Charity Car Show - Web Exclusive

Somehow, we missed the 1st annual B&M/Hurst Charity Car Show last spring. We decided not to make the same mistake twice (at least not that particular mistake) and took the short drive to Chatsworth, California, last Sunday, for the 2nd annual event.

Were we surprised when we got there and found Nordhoff Street blocked off for a third of a mile. Instead of the ordinary weekend traffic, the street was lined with 350 street rods, customs, classics, musclecars, trucks, street machines, and, of course, hot rods-including a couple of 2009 America's Most Beautiful Roadster runners-up.

The Oldskool 66 Cruzers club helped out by hosting the event. Money raised at the show benefits the SEMA Scholarship Fund as well as the family of Drew Guzman, a member of the B&M Racing & Performance customer service/tech support staff, who passed away in 2008.

In addition to all the vehicles, there was judging and awards in numerous classes, raffle prizes, vendors, food, oldies music, and Dave McClelland doing the emceeing. More than 50 participants went home with a cool trophy, including some of the cars pictured here.
