The Robinsons attended the Early Times Car Club picnic. I hope you enjoy the photos from the event as much as Faith and Grant and I this year's picnic! The fun took place at the Compton Hunting & Fishing Club in North Long Beach, California. The Early Times has been gathering at this same location since the Early seventies (no pun intended). Close to seventy rods & customs attended this year, along with a DJ, 50/50 cash and prize raffle, taco lunch, all the beer and pop you can drink, a kids jumper, and event T-shirts & short-run collector edition Early Times Car Club Mattel "Hot Wheels" cars for sale. This was a good turnout for the annual picnic hosted by the venerable Long Beach club, especially since they shared the weekend with two other big shows in the vicinity: the SCTA's June 2009 time trials at El Mirage Dry Lake in the local high desert and the 39th Annual Antique Nationals flathead inline-four and V-8 exhibition drag races & car show at the Auto Club Raceway in Fontana.
