The starter spaces the roadsters out 30 seconds apart making sure to log everyone's start time to give them the best chance at coming in with the winning time. The starter is giving Barbara Bennett and her well-travelled '32 highboy (Kev ran across her in Santa Maria a few weeks earlier) the signal to hit the course. Barbara was acting as navigator for this run and let her boyfriend handle the driving duties. The pair didn't win the best time but did bring back the best poker hand. View Related Article
