The Zipper roadster has carved out its own niche among Deuce lovers, including Jerry Souza who says he always wanted to build one. Jerry finally got his chance when he found his dream car in Arizona and began adding a few of his own personal modifications. The result is one of the most progressive interpretations of a '32 roadster we've ever seen. Nicknamed "Formula 1 Deuce," Jerry's roadster sits on a stretched and pinched Jerry Kugel frame with independent front and rear suspension features including four-corner Koni coilovers and front A-arms built from aircraft-quality 4130 strut tubing. Under the hood, a custom-ported EFI four-bolt Chevy 350 is fed by a custom-made ported fuel injection system and dressed up with a variety of carbon fiber accessories. Transmission is a TH350 automatic. The futuristic styling continues into the cockpit, where custom sculpted seats face a MOMO steering wheel and a Zipper carbon fiber dash housing Ford SVO gauges. Shawn Price of Mesa, Arizona, performed the bodywork and sprayed the white and silver two-tone paint job, and Dan Fink Metalworks in Huntington Beach, California, provided the grille. Budnik Tritech wheels complete the image. Jerry doesn't believe in trailers and drives his high-tech roadster to shows all over central California.
