We wonder how many times Aaron has endured the "I used to have one just like it" speech from old timers. He knows they're full of it, because GM never made anything quite like this OldsmoBuick.
Aaron combined elements from several noteworthy GM designs to create his cool '54 Buick Special custom, grafting on a '56 Olds nose and '55 Chevy fins and taillights. It's finished off with routine dechroming and red-and-black paint divided by stock trim. A Chevelle front clip gets the nose nice and low, while a narrowed Mopar rearend hanging on a four-bar/coilover arrangement locates the Billet Specialties wheels in back. This Buick can scoot, too, thanks to a 415ci small-block Chevy with tuned-port injection.
Aaron credits his wife, Tara, for her support, and his father and uncle for giving him the rodding bug. Still, he's quick to note that he built the Buick himself, including stitching the upholstery. For his efforts, we're making Aaron September's Young Gun of the Month.
