Steve Lein from Port Orange, Florida, was not only a young gun back in the day, he was an avid gun. He grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts, in the '50s, and bought his first car, a mint '40 coupe, at the age of 14. His second car-a '52 Ford leadsled, came a year later, followed by an Olds-powered '34 five-window coupe, and a rough Olds-powered '40 that he turned into a Corvette-powered show winner.
Endless hours were spent cruising the streets of Lynn with the Vigilantes and the Strokers clubs, or hanging out at the Adventure Car Hop on Route 1 in Saugus.
These days, he's still an avid hot rodder, with a '55 Chevy two-door post sedan in the garage and a '33 sedan delivery with a blown Flathead in the works.
