When it comes to automotive trends, nobody has more influence than designers. The street rods and customs they build on paper, especially when transformed into real world rods, can determine the next big thing, or kill the current fad. We rounded up a bunch of up-and-coming designers/ illustrators from around the country and got the lowdown on who they are and how they got started. We also grilled them on the question of whats hot and whats not? And we included information on how to contact these designers if you want to commission their work.
In addition, we polled a variety of street rod-oriented manufacturers and retailers for their opinions on trends. Their answers, which were sometimes unanimous and sometimes contradictory, are based on professional experience, what they see their customers building, and which of their products are moving the fastest right now. So were just the messengers here, folksnot the prophets.
