Go For The Gold $20,000 went to winner Doug Weigel of Albuquerque, New Mexico with a completely handbuilt one of a kind 1910 Ford T named Tiki. Doug received the $20,000.00 cash prize at Darryl Starbird's National Rod & Custom Car Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma this past weekend.

The $20,000.00 cash award Go For The Gold is a complex award, it is the combination of creativity, workmanship, execution, and individual design with imagination. The winner is chosen from a field of nine unbelievable vehicles from throughout the USA. Jeff Rowray of Norman, Oklahoma with a 1951 Studebaker; Doug Weigel of Albuquerque, New Mexico with a 1910 Ford T; Bill Long of Joplin, Missouri with a 1965 Chevelle; Marty Foery of Black Forest, Colorado with a 1927 Ford T; Dale Johns of Van Buren, Arkansas with a 1957 Chevy; Michael Baker of Harrah, Oklahoma with a 1935 Chevy sedan; Jack Walker of Belton, Missouri with a 1941 Buick; Yogi Snider of S. Coffeyville, Oklahoma with a 1955 Chevy pickup and Billy Ray and Starla Hoffman of Van Buren, Arkansas with a 1968 Camaro.

These vehicles were all awarded a Fine Nine Trophy for being a part of this prestigious competition. Jack Walker's unique custom built '41 Buick and one of the Fine Nine winners was also the winner of Darryl's Personal Choice award, and the Hall of Fame choice went to the unbelievable 1968 Camaro owned by Billy Ray and Starla Hoffman built by D&D Specialty Cars of Van Buren, Arkansas.

Starbird's Tulsa show is in its 46th annual presentation. The Go for the Gold $20,00.00 cash is in its seventh annual presentation. Tulsa is the largest indoor car show in the country having over 1000 vehicles in competition.
