Neal Reed is an English photographer with a passion for a very specific era, shooting mainly in black and white, and using whatever tool is needed for the job at hand-be it 35 mm, 6x6 medium format, or digital SLR equipment.
"I think I was born in the wrong decade, pure and simple," Reed says. "I'm a child of the '70s, but since taking up photography, I wish it had been earlier. I'm fanatical about the classic look from the '50s and '60s and try to bring that into my own work. I have been fortunate enough to capture a wide variety of such subject matter-hot rods and events, drag racing, tattoo artists and their work, wall of death riders, bands, and burlesque dancers-and give it a timeless twist."
