One of the multiple participants at the Darryl Starbird Rod & Custom Car Show competing for the "Go For the Gold" Award
For the first time in Darryl Starbird Rod & Custom Car Show history, there will be a show preview Thursday night, February 14th, before the Annual car show held in Tulsa, OK. In conjunction with the preview will be a Live and Silent charity auction to raise money for the Make-A-Wish® Oklahoma branch as well as the National Rod & Custom Car Hall of Fame. On the block will be a number of items ranging from car parts, car memorabilia, car collectibles, pinstriping art, etc. This auction will become a staple every year to allow the show to give back to those in need as well as help fund the Hall of Fame and its effort to keep alive the American love affair with the automobile. Also, the charity will help preserve the history and honor the pioneers of our great sport . With the help of national publications, local establishments, and everything in between, the show hopes to make sure people have the opportunity to participate in giving back in ways both big and small. Tickets for the innaugral event can be purchased for $50.00, and a corporate rate of 10 tickets is available for $400.00. Food and cocktails will be available to all ticket holders, as well as a preview to the show. Since all proceeds go to charity, any donation will be tax deductable.
