Whether you’re at a bus stop waiting for your next ride or in the garage working on your next project, cell phones have become a greatly needed accessory for our lives. It seems more and more you can’t go anywhere without seeing someone on their cell phone or being on one yourself. The upside to it is companies are now starting to create apps to better fit your personal experience with your phone. Eastwood now offers an app that allows you to check out the latest Eastwood events, look at photo galleries, and get coupons on Eastwood products. We decided to download the app and break down the 12 features that it offers.

Events

As of November 19, 2013, the events page shows you three different events, their dates, and times. For instance, “Black Friday Deals” is listed as happening on November 29, 2013 and goes from 12:00am-12:00pm. If you hit that specific event you get the option of what the event is about, comments on the event, who is attending, and a gallery showcasing photos from it. Of course right now the only section that is filled out is “about,” but we expect to see more once the event occurs. Pretty neat feature if you’re interested in getting involved.

Car Cam

“Add a picture of your car, a cool car you spotted at a show, or Eastwood products in action!” This feature allows you to pull up photos from your phone and share them with Eastwood on their website, social media page, and print.

Blog

You will be taken to Eastwood’s blog which feeds are all dated in order so readers can keep up with the latest Eastwood happenings.

Gallery

The gallery will show you lots of cool photos that Eastwood has taken. So far there are about 20 photos in the gallery and they’re all from the 2013 SEMA Show. You have the option to save these photos or even share them with your friends via email, Facebook, and Twitter.

Fan Wall

This is for all of you fans out there who want to share your hot rod or hauler and write a comment. To add something, you have to login to Facebook or Twitter first and then you’re set. People can also reply to the threads that you post much like other social media platforms. Posts can be viewed by location and you can even find other like-minded enthusiasts near you.

Social Media

Social Media gives you the choice to either view the Eastwood Facebook page or Eastwood Twitter. This is great for people who want to follow either of them.

YouTube

If you enjoy watching videos with the latest tech, drag racing, and burnouts, then you’ll want to check this out. The feature takes you directly to the Eastwood YouTube channel where you’ll get access to drag racing, restoration projects, how-to’s, and more.

Alerts

These are web alerts that Eastwood sends out. You can share these items via email, Facebook, Twitter, and SMS. If you hit the timeline option, you can see what’s been posted and can view the items on the website or through the app itself.

QR Coupons

Eastwood is giving away coupons that you can scan with your phone by using the camera. Simply check in 3 times using this feature and you will receive a coupon that can be used for Eastwood products.

Tech Library

This is a great feature for anyone who is working on a project car or truck. The four categories are: Paintings & Coatings, Welding & Fabrication, Auto Body, and Tools & Equipment. Each can be separately selected and include how-to’s, buyers guides, FAQ’s, and specific articles that will help guide you in the right direction.

Live Chat

Customer Service 2.0! Live Chat allows you to speak with Eastwood employees regarding general information, billing, and shipping. First you need to fill out your name, email, the title of your problem, and the problem description. You then can choose the priority of your issue and submit a ticket. An Eastwood rep will be happy to help you out once they can answer your ticket.

About Us

The last feature of this app is the About Us which gives you the main store location along with all of the store’s contact information. This is one app we think that will sit very well with you, so the next time you’re out and about be sure to download the Eastwood app and remember to keep the hobby alive.
