Chrysler designers went a little nuts during the early '60s, so illustrator Jeff Norwell removed most of the body trim. The car has been severely lowered (most likely with airbags), the grille has been trimmed on the sides with a tube insert in the center, triple frenched antennas were molded into the quarter-panel, and the doors have been shaved. Since the car is called a Phoenix, no subtle color would do, so the nosed and decked body was slathered in Corvette Torch Red with a heavy white 'flake roof. Astro Supremes or Radir Tri-Ribs would work in this application, and skinny whites are a must. A stark white tuck 'n' roll interior would be the perfect finishing touch. View Related Article
