De Fender of the Faith
While the "golden age" of hot rodding may well be considered to have occurred several decades ago, right now is a pretty cool time to be involved in the hobby, with the number of new and reproduction parts coming to market. Who would've dreamed of so many steel bodies and panels becoming available? Steve's Auto Restorations is one company that can make '33-34 aficionados' dreams come true, and now offers brand-new steel reproduction rear fenders for the '33-34 Ford sedan delivery.

The new fenders are patterned from an NOS fender in the SAR collection, with new dies created to produce fenders that match the proper shape and contours of the originals. The latest advancements in tooling ensure the edge bead is consistent for the entire length of the fender. All necessary mounting holes are pre-punched in the correct locations and include the reinforcement strap welded to the underside. Sleeves and Ties
If your car uses tie-rod sleeves on its steering you'll appreciate these new billet versions from Classic Performance Products. Made from 6061 T6 aluminum and offered in clear anodized, black anodized, or polished, they're available for Chevy trucks, full-size passenger cars, Camaros, Novas, and Chevelles. OK so the last three don't meet Rod & Custom's remit, but maybe your ride uses a front clip from one of these cars? These tie-rod sleeves may be a small detail, but they replace an otherwise unattractive component to ensure your entire front suspension looks good. In a Spin
The air cleaner on your hot rod's engine does more than just filter out dirt and dust. It also helps define the style and character of your car's engine compartment. The air filter assembly is the first thing most people see when you open your hood. Speedway Motors' new Nostalgia Spun Aluminum Air Cleaner is made from high-quality aluminum, the contoured air cleaner lid having a domed-top, mushroom-shape design similar to popular air cleaners from the '50s. The base fits common 5 1/8-inch four-barrel carburetor necks and supports a high-flow air filter element. Measuring in at 8 inches in diameter and 3 3/8 inches tall, the assembly is perfect for all single four-barrel carburetor applications. While the natural spun-aluminum finish provides a nostalgic appearance, it could also be polished or painted for a truly custom look. For more information contact Speedway Motors at (800) 979-0122 or
