The "used" clip scenario is especially important, as depending on the age of the clip, it'll undoubtedly have some rust inside the 'rails already. Feelin' Dizzy
New from Performance Distributors is this ZZ Crate Engine Davis Unified Ignition (DUI) distributor, specifically designed for the ZZ-4, ZZ-454, and the ZZ-502. Two features distinguish it from the regular line of DUI distributors. The advance curve is calibrated to accommodate the GM Performance catalog's timing recommendations. The optimized curve provides instant throttle response and maximum performance while protecting against detonation. Secondly, a melonized distributor gear is used to mesh properly with the crate engine's steel hydraulic roller camshaft. The distributor comes complete, including the dependable Street/Strip DUI Coil and Dyna-Module, allowing plug gaps to be opened to 0.050-0.055-inch, burning fuel completely. Good Deeds
One of the jobs many people farm out when building what amounts to a one-off car is the exhaust system, but there's really no need, as a custom system can be fabricated from an assortment of bends and straight tube, not forgetting a muffler or two! Mandrel bends offer consistent smooth gas flow, unlike the bends most exhaust shops will put in straight tube, which distorts the circular cross section of the tube at the bends.

Deeds Engineering can supply mild steel, 304 stainless steel, and 6061 aluminum mandrel bends, with a wide choice of bend radii. For ease of fabrication they are available in 180-, 90-, and 45-degree bend options, allowing you to create a unique system that perfectly fits your car. Header flanges, three-bolt flanges, hangers, and clamps are also available. Of course exhausts aren't the only application, as the bends can be used on induction and coolant plumbing systems, as well as fuel fillers.
