Big Is Beautiful
Superior Glass Works has your rodding comfort in mind and offers several fiberglass street rod bodies with enough space to stretch out and really enjoy the ride. The 1932 Ford three-window coupe features a 2 1/2-inch-deeper cabin by kicking out the base of the back window, while maintaining the stock body dimensions and proportions. Two other big '32s offered are a stock height and a 2-inch chopped Vicky. The '27 Ford roadster (aka "The King T") has 4 inches added to the depth of the cockpit.

Chevy fans are accommodated too. The '34 Chevy cabriolet has stretched doors, cockpit, and wheelbase, yielding a passenger compartment that is 7 inches deeper than a '32 Ford roadster. A stock height '34 Chevy three-window coupe and a '37-38 Chevy sedan delivery are also available. A radically modified '33 Willys sedan delivery is another option. All Superior Glass Works bodies are hand-laid with a heavy steel structure added throughout the body. They also craft custom chassis in their own shop for all 14 of the bodies they build, allowing them to deliver a complete rolling package with a new body assembled on a new chassis. Modern Resto
Wilwood Engineering has engineered a disc brake kit for '55-57 Chevys that allows the use of aftermarket 14-inch wheels to retain the appearance of a restored Chevy with the enhanced stopping ability of disc brakes. The forged Dynalite Pro front kit features an aluminum hub assembly and an aluminum adapter plate connected to 11-inch rotors. Forged Dynalite calipers are used for their superior clamping ability and are available in Platinum-E, red, black, or in a polished finish for a show car appearance. This kit comes complete with the special caliper brackets, BP-10 brake pads, and all of the hardware required to complete the installation.

The Forged Dynapro rear brake kit is designed for the original '55-57 Chevy differential and it features forged Dynapro calipers in the same finishes as the front kit. This system uses an 11-inch rotor specially designed for use with an internal drum parking brake mechanism that also incorporates the caliper-mounting bracket. This kit also comes with BP-10 brake pads and all hardware. Now you can have the appearance of a restored Chevy with the stopping ability of a brand-new car! Balancing Act
If you've ever built a Flathead Ford V-8, you know the stock crank pulley is very easily bent and provides no vibration dampening features for the crankshaft. The result can be excessive wear on internal engine parts and an extremely short engine life. Speedway Motors' new chrome-plated Flathead balancer can help your Flathead live longer and run smoother. It fits '49-53 Flathead Ford V-8s and provides the vital protection from vibrations that ol' Henry should have offered in the first place, while offering a little flair to the front of the engine.

Matching bolt-on, chrome-plated pulleys, available for wide-belt or narrow-belt applications, are also available and necessary to complete your balancer installation. For more information, contact Speedway Motors at (800) 979-0122 or www.speedwaymotors.com.

Hangman
What do you do if you don't want a brake booster or master cylinder in your engine bay, yet have no room under the car to fit them, or have ground clearance issues? Or maybe you want to hide them but want hanging pedals? Kugel Komponents offers this reverse-mount, 90-degree, hanging-style pedal assembly, which is compatible with power or manual brake systems as well as a 180-degree non-power assembly. Both units are available for brake and clutch or brake-only applications, and all master cylinders are available as standard fill or remote fill.

Supplied with a 7-inch power booster, though an 8-inch is available too, they use new Corvette master cylinders with a remote conversion lid. An optional slotted pedal arm (shown) is available, as are other options, including various styles of pedal pads and remote fill reservoirs. For more information, contact Kugel Komponents at (562) 691-7006 or www.kugelkomponents.com.

Weld Done
There can't be too many metalworking hobbyists unfamiliar with Ron Covell or the tools he sells, thanks to his magazine columns and features. Following his successful TIG Welding Basics DVD, he's teamed up with Miller Electric to offer a new DVD, this time called Advanced TIG Welding. It features how-to tips and instruction developed for hobbyists and home fabricators looking to become more proficient with the TIG welding process. Covell has used Miller equipment throughout his 45-year metalworking career.

Covering advanced topics, including welding chromoly steel, stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, bronze, copper, and titanium, viewers can benefit from Covell's clear guidelines for using pulse and waveform adjustments that many new TIG machines have, along with practical advice on machine setup, joint preparation and weld finishing.
