Ive been looking for Chrome Cone wheel covers . A supplier would be great or at least a picture so I can show people what I'm talking about . They look like the Fullmoon/Smoothie/Spacer covers except with a slight cone shape instead of a curve in the center .

I have been thinking of putting an Air Suspension (Bags) on my 69 Riviera, needless to say there are many manufactures who all claim theirs is the best on the market. I have pretty much nailed it down to between Air Ride Technology or Air Bag It kits. I would really appreciate some help in regards to getting some information on the quality of the products from each company, installation, the plug/play systems and their customer support service. This will be used at occasional shows and the car should not get more than a couple of thousand miles a year put on it. And yes cost is a consideration. Thanks in advace for your help.

I recently installed a camaro rear end on my original leaf springs. I moved the rear end back 1 3/4" but it appears to still sit too far forward. Do I have the right measurment or do I need to account for something else? Please help?

I have about 4 black and white photos from the first year of the Santa Ana drags in 1950. They show me and my dragster at the drags making some passes. There is a good shot of the strip with the telephone poles keeping the spectators back. I would like to submit my photos.There is also an interesting story that is unpublished of the events leading up to the race, how a bunch of kids cobbled the dragster together. We were street racers up to that point, and eventually I ended up at Indy as a motorman at Cosworth and with Parnelli Jones. I would appreciate any contact I can make with Leslie Long to add to his collection.

I'm curious... No one right now offers a good service for everyday people with serious whips to compete against each other, show off interactively, have contests. They are a lot of people here that have some serious rides. I am thinking about starting a service that will offer monthly contest like the best rims, best paint job, best audio, etc... but I need you guys input. What would you like to see in a service that caters to everyday people (not just celebrities) with serious whips? What kind of contest would you like to see? What kind of features would you like in a membership? What prizes would you like to see offered to the contest winners? Thanks to everyone in advance for sharing your thoughts and ideas. I rounded my door corners on my 59 Apache and need to find tech articles on how to modify and recut door trim to fit the new arch. The top rear section needs to be cut to fit and I need some guidance before I mess it up. I made this mod after seeing it in a December 97 article. Hi everybody! I have always loved cars and was interested in different aesthetic delights. Once, long ago, when I was 16, I got to the issue of "Rod & Custom" .. I have always had a lot of interesting and not very interesting ideas, and this magazine has opened for me a huge new world. At the moment I have 4 vehicles: Cadillac Concours '94, Mercedes-Benz 126 '79, and two domestic cars "Volga" the sixties and seventies in authentic condition. Cadillac is a daily car, "Volga" stand in the garage, but over a Mercedes, I decided to experiment. I have been told that a 605 steering box along with an adapter plate and pitman arm will work on converting my manual steering over to power steering? I am looking at doing this winter, I have a/c and my alternator setup with a Bill's mounting brackets. Doesn't look like I am going to have room? Is there another bracket that will work on this setup for the SBC I have?

I hang out in the machine shop that produces Zips Water Pumps. We have a lot of extra odds and ends laying around that could be used to build a rather unique truck. Where as I do not have a rod of my own yet, Zip has offered to help me build one out of spare parts. We just saw a 34 fifth wheel that caught my attention. It was featured in the 1956 January edition of Rod & Custom. They had two drive axles built from a model A. Would it be possible for me to down load that article or does anyone else know of a new narrow double rear end I could use. Honestly though, I'm not looking to pull a lot of weight and may go with a narrow 9 in. and a dummy rear axle behind it on a buggy spring. All input is appreciated!

I aquirred a beautiful 47 ford 2dr business coupe frame, complete rolling chassis. It has a merc flathead that still turns, 3 speed tranny, working steering box, and torsion shocks. The only thing that doesn't work is the master cyl. The body was raped for a pro street project (which was a shame to say the least). I always wanted to build a 29 ford roadster old school hot rod with the flathead, orig. drive train and buggy suspension, a rat rod so to speak. Will this frame work for that, or what will I have to cut, chop, or fab to do it? Any help would be appreciated.
