 Jamco supplies an upper A-arm...  Jamco supplies an upper A-arm adapter that gets bolted to the top of the framerail in the original A-arm holes.  Next we slip the holes in...  Next we slip the holes in the pivot shaft of the upper A-arm over the studs sticking out of the adapter we just installed. Nuts and lock washers are supplied to tighten everything down. Notice the ball joint hanging from the end of the arm, where kingpins used to go.  The drop spindle and disc...  The drop spindle and disc brake assembly are bolted to the ball joint and left hanging while we begin work on the lower A-arm.  Like we said earlier, the...  Like we said earlier, the hardest part of this whole project was stripping off the old parts! The holes in the lower A-arm mounting points line up with the stock frame studs, and we tightened everything down with new nuts and washers.  The new Jamco drop spring...  The new Jamco drop spring gets wedged between the lower A-arm and the mounting pad sticking out of the frame.  Once again we used the floor...  Once again we used the floor jack to raise the lower A-arm and compress the spring so that the lower ball joint could be lined up with the spindle and bolted together.  Finally the new rubber brake...  Finally the new rubber brake lines were installed on the caliper and the hard line, and we bled the brakes to get all the air out of the lines. Next month we'll tackle the rear of the car by swapping in Jamco drop springs, shackles, and lowering blocks for the ultimate weed-eating stance.
