We drilled and tapped the bracket to mount the channel to. We wanted the channel to be removable so that we can adjust it later if necessary-and it makes installing or removing the glass much easier. We drilled and chamfered a hole in the glass channel so that we could flush mount a countersunk screw. The channel needs to be as smooth as possible here so that the glass travels smoothly.
