A good quality radiator cap is the cheapest and easiest component in your cooling system to replace. The radiator cap is like a pressure release valve, with most rated to open at 15 psi and release coolant into a recovery tank. A variety of caps are available ranging from 4, 7, 13-14 and 15-18 psi, but always use a cap with a pressure rating recommended by your radiator's manufacturer. View Related Article
