It's always advisable to use a "flare nut" or line wrench when working on brake lines, as a regular wrench will easily round off the fittings, especially when they're old. The gap in the end of the wrench allows it to be slipped over the brake tubing to apply force to all six faces of the fitting, eliminating slippage. View Related Article
