The compressor, Model 327 and rated at 0.5 cfm at 150 psi, mounts at three points using rubber insulating pads with sleeves to prevent crushing. Rather than mount it directly to the sheetmetal floor and risk vibration or droning noises, I drilled and tapped an 1/8-inch plate, mounted the compressor, then ground the exposed threads of the mounting bolts flush with the base of the plate.
