I installed a section of Dynamat before bolting the air tank in place, so that didn't have to come out, but the whole "sunken floor" section where the gas tank lives was covered too. Hopefully the Dynamat will help reduce the noise of the air pump. A 1 1/2-inch-wide strip on either side of the recess was left bare, as this is where a cover will mount, probably using Dzus fasteners or similar. View Related Article
