With the car supported on jackstands, or in our case, on a rack, the first order of business in disassembling the frontend is to remove the steering tie rods. Ideally, a ball joint splitter should be used, but as our entire front suspension and steering will be discarded, a pickle fork was used to break the taper. View Related Article
