Not only is there a slight recess in the firewall just below where we opted to mount the bracket, but there are beads in the firewall too, so we fabricated this bracket, which allows the mounting holes to clear the beads, plus stand the e-brake bracket off the inside of the firewall for cable clearance. We then welded captive bolts and nuts to the bracket for ease of installation. View Related Article
