While the Lokar assembly is designed to bolt to the lower lip of the dash, in our application it would foul the backside of the auxillary gauges, so we shortened the bracket and mounted it to this 1/8-inch steel plate that was already in place to strengthen the underdash lip that braces our steering column upper support. Good thing we didn’t trim it neatly (note intended cut-line in Sharpie) during that installation, huh? View Related Article
