Art Morrison Enterprises
Art Morrison Enterprises (AME) is now offering a revolutionary IRS suspension package for all of their chassis and subframes. The low-profile design will allow for an under-the-stock-floor location on most of the bolt-on GT Sport chassis and subframes, while the suspension cradle will allow for easy installation and provide an extra level of noise and vibration dampening. Utilizing a Dana 60 ring-and-pinion gear, along with custom drive axles, the AME Sport IRS is capable of withstanding the abuse of 1,800-plus horsepower engines. The unique design of the AME Sport IRS is actually a significant increase in both comfort and performance over solid-axle designs and other currently available IRS systems. The key performance is its adjustable toe curve, which actually helps the vehicle "steer" around corners. This enables the driver to corner harder than ever before without ever feeling "out of control".
Chris Alston's Chassisworks
The direct-fit, Custom-Design Frame System from Chris Alston's Chassisworks is an extremely versatile engineering and construction approach. This technique enables Chassisworks to expertly prepare a sub-assembled kit or complete factory-welded frame, built precisely to your project requirements. Front hub-to-hub width, ground clearance, wheelbase, and rear frame width can each be varied independently to create a correct-fitting frame and vehicle stance for projects, including g-Machine/pro touring muscle cars and street rods, custom street trucks, pro street classics, and more.
The heart of the direct-fit frame system is Chassisworks' g-Street front crossmember, featuring rack-and-pinion steering, and double A-arm suspension with an antiroll bar. The crossmember and framerails are made from 4x2x0.120-inch wall box tube, mandrel-bent on a computer-controlled tube bender for precision fit and wrinkle-free bends. One of four rear suspension configurations can be selected, each with its own list of options. A well-detailed (60 pages) custom-design frame buyer's guide is available on the Chassisworks website.
