Don Francisco, who nominated Jim, handing the cherished plaque to Jim during his induction at the 1999 “Gas Up” and Dry Lakes Hall of Fame awards in Buellton, CA. Francisco was a consummate pilot flying to Bonneville every Speed Week until he hung up his aviator goggles and grabbed his bike to join Travis in his motor home in 1995.
