“That’s Bill Hannon with a trophy girl. Bill owned the dragstrip. Once every month he’d give out 3,000 tickets to local charitable organizations, women’s organizations, and hospitals to sell and they could keep half of the money. I encouraged the juvenile authorities to load up a bus load of kids and let them watch for free. We showed them that instead of getting into trouble committing crimes they could get involved in drag racing and make a living someday,” Harry says.
